On days when David and I are just chillin’ or running errands, I’ll typically keep it pretty casual in the beauty department. My sheer lip balm collection is growing, and replacing the pigmented lipsticks I used to carry around with me.

My hair elastic collection is growing, as well as hair products that give me a bit of texture on day 2 to work with.

And I find that I repeat a few of the same hairstyles more often these days.

My hair doesn’t take all that long to style, so it’s like not it’s a pain in the butt to work on in the morning, but I definitely don’t hate giving it a break every few days.

1. I love a messy bun. So does my husband so that is an extra perk. I like loosening the nap a good bit, and even pulling some hairs out around my face. I like it to look lived in.

2. The side french braid has become a perfect alternative to the messy bun, while still keeping my hair back. On rainy days, or any time I want my hair back, I’ll throw a low braid in it.

3. I like doing the ballerina bun on days where my hair is curled nicely, but I want something a little more casual.

4. The looser and softer the waves, the better. Plus I find it’s easier to recover them on day 2 if I want to re-curl in the morning!
