A Restoring Blow Out

The Living Proof Restore mask treatment was what sold me on Living Proof products. I love how deeply it nourished my dry ends without adding a greasy weight to my hair!

I was given the opportunity to get a blow out, compliments of Living Proof, and have my hair diagnosed by a Living Proof stylist at a local salon. I figured she’d recommend Restore Mask Treatment, which she did, but she also used a handful of new products as well!

My hair was full of texture and residue from filming a tutorial that morning, so I blindly whipped it back into a braid to get over to the salon. I couldn’t wait to have it washed!

Jen was my stylist, and I asked her to blow it out nice and smooth, but with a good bit of volume at the roots as well!

She used the shaping hair spray as she worked, and also used it to finish my hair. I love the flexibility it offers in that it is the farthest thing from a stiff hairspray.

I also had her apply some of the full thickening mousse because my hair is super lifeless without the support of a mousse type product.

Jordan, who shot these photos, would attest that I literally could not stop running my fingers through my hair afterwards. It felt so smooth and bouncy!

I’m on a regular routine of using the shampoo and conditioner Jen recommended, to try to regain some health back into my ends. I like the styling spray, Straight, as well to help cut some of the frizz from the unending humidity here in the south! Other than being one of Jennifer Aniston’s favorite lines, Living Proof puts a huge emphasis on the science of great products for haircare. And sometimes if the focus is too heavy on hair care, the performance of the product can get lost, but that hasn’t been the case in what I’ve used from the line.
